I just got off the phone with the Versus channel (Thank God for cable internet that doesn't tie up the phone line), and I spoke to a very nice lady by the name of Victoria. There is a national problem going on with the transmission of the signal from Toronto.

If you would like to call Versus, the number is (203)406-2500. I was put on hold for about 15 minutes, but was eventually able to get through. You will be asked your ZIP Code as well as your cable or satellite provider. Versus is doing everything it can to fix this problem right now.

Awards show NOT ON

Where the hell is the NHL Awards show. I am in South Carolina and have some damn wrestling or boxing crap. This is typical of Versus to screw stuff up. Thanks a million, I hope you lose your contract soon with the NHL so someone that wants to air Hockey or Hockey related stuff can take the contract.

You're right. I just saw the notice on the bottom of my TV screen telling me that the Awards Show will indeed air on tape at 11 p.m. EDT, 8 p.m. PDT. Hopefully, you can record the show.

Congrats on not allowing people to watch hockey stuff at a descent time of the day. 11pm? Seriously. Great Job Versus lol. And someone should teach those Canadians with the feed how to work the equipment in case it isn't Versus' fault. But I doubt it.

Thanks for checking on this Pimp. You're awesome. And, I'm sure Victoria is a very nice lady and I know this isnt her fault, but I must say, I am not a happy camper right now.... And, I really, really hope that versus gets its S*** together b/f next season. Cause they seem to screw w/ the NHL broadcasts alot. Im sure that the NHL doesnt get the ratings that these two retards playing grab ass on my tv do right now, but they could at least get some decent announcers and show the stuff that they announce and advertise that they are going to show. Maybe work on this signal stuff for next year while they are at it, so that next year during the playoffs, my tv screen wont go black Sopranos style with 17 seconds left and my team down 3-2 with a face off in the offensive zone. That would be fantastic.

Yeah - more nice work by the "us VERSUS all the fans" network.
Childish, obscene, painted freaks leaking out of my TV instead of the well-earned awards of real men.
Oh, I can get it 4 hours later with no drama, long after the privileged part of the country...

All in favor of LOSING this amateur system in favor of webcast (so you can just listen to professional RADIO announcers [like we do anyway]), raise your fist.

[edit: I apologize for mis-stating that it was a regional thing. They apparently lost the entire system (so they filled in with sophomoric, alcoholic, dysfunction poster-boys taking turns flashing and grabbing each other) - that's so much better.]

All in favor of trading them in for two kids with tin cans and string?

I give credit to Versus to at least posting its contact information on its Web Site. To be able to call a network in this society where people don't take responsibility for wrongdoings really says something. You can't even e-mail networks such as MTV and VH1 (fortunately, I watch more of Fuse than either of those two).

And thank you for the compliment loralei!!

Sorry, but the whole thing is inexcusable. Transmission problems from Toronto? You've got to be kidding me.

I had the boxing on for a while waiting for versus to apologize profusely for their mess up and the change of schedule, but none to be found. This should have been across the screen at least once every five minutes. It's okay for those who called that after 15 minutes wait a representative was nice, but versus dropped the puck big time on this.

Return to NHL on VERSUS
