Re: Ligget's Love of Cavendish!!

In total agreeance with above posting "Throughout Cavandish's wins, I continually heard both Paul and Phil talk about the team and how they lead Cavandish to his wins. Additionally, They always showed, and commented, Cavandish congratulating his team and how Cavandish talks about how he couldn't win without his team. So, I see that Paul and Phil both have praised Columbia HTC for their team work and the strength of their team."

Perhaps Phil loves sprinters (my favorite too) as he praises Robbie McEwan too. Too bad Robbie was out with knee surgery; it would have been a great race with Robbie (as he hides under his cloak til he races to the finish line) & the 'Cav' !!!

I believe Mr. McEwen borrows that cloak from Harry Potter.

Define 'slobbering'. I didn't think Phil talked about Cav anymore than Bobke talked about Lance. Why wouldn't he? Cav is a monster on the bike. However, I would've liked to have seen Tyler Farerer (sp?) beat him just once. He came so close but just missed the mark.
And to the poster who called Phil a British 'nit-wit': Are you jokin' kidding me? If he's a nit-wit then count me one too. The guy is a legend in his own right. The way he comes up with the history of the tour, the riders along with his cycling knowledge is just mind boggling. I appreciate his expertise and love his commentating. I'm confused as to why you would call him this?
Boo Hiss to you! ;)
